Happy, Sunny Summer!
Not only "Here Comes the Sun" but also heat and humidity. There is always this discussion at our house if the AC needs to be on or not. When I use to be a SAHM when my children were babies through elementary school, I preferred the windows open. Thinking that since I didn't work in AC it wasn't as noticeable. But, when my now ex-husband would come home from work, he would always wonder why it wasn't on. Heck, we had an in ground swimming pool in our backyard! Who needed AC?
Now, being homebound, after working 17+ years, I am back to wanting the windows open. My second husband and adult daughter don't agree. They just don't think it is fun getting ready for work in a sweat.
The Perfect Sentiment challenge this week is to create a card with a sunny sentiment. Examples include: You Are My Sunshine, Wishing You Sunny Days, You Shine, You Make Life Bright, etc. Just remember that sentiment must be on the front of the card to qualify for a chance at winning the prize donated by our sponsor.
The twist is a simple one - include an image of the sun on your card.
Pattie's Creations is our sponsor this week. She will award one random winner a free digi of their choice. Thank you, Pattie!
Here is my "sunny" card:
I tried creating a tie-dye effect for her shirt. Photographed it is looking for blotchy. In person, I thought it looked good.
Supplies:
Hero Arts background stamp
Color Box - Glacier Ice
MFT Hula Girl
FancyPants DSP - Beach Babe
Memento - Black
FlowerSoft - Sand
Derwent Watercolor pencils
Check out all the designers and the inspiration their cards offer. Everyone is listed in my right sidebar.
