Perfect Sentiment Challenge: Sympathy Inspiration

Happy 2nd week of 2012!  I hope you find inspiration to play along with us at Perfect Sentiment. Our challenge is being sponsored by Shelly's Images with the winner receiving one digital image of choice.

This week our challenge is to create a card with a sentiment of sympathy.  The twist is to use the photo below as inspiration.

As I looked at the photo a few things stood out to me:  icy blue, pure white, and trees.  I have tree stamps but the day I planned to start my card, in the mail, I received a RAK, the stamp I used below which I have now been told is over 15 years old.  It is a wood-mounted stamp from Era Graphics with a small label on one end that reads "She Who Joy".
Immediately, I knew this stamp would be used to represent the tree.  Her arms up the branches.  "Joy" also represents my thoughts on death ~ celebrate the life.  And, as I so often do, link my inspiration to a music video.  The imagery in One Republic's "Good Life" with an upbeat tempo, arms up, and the trees cemented my choice.

One Republic ~ Good Life

I love the frosty look this card has! It's beautiful. :) It would also be a perfect entry for the machine-embossing challenge happening at my blog this week.

love your thoughts on death. It is sad for those left behind-but joyful for the one leaving. Great stamp. I immediately "got it".
